The City of Gulbarga with a population of around six lakhs is situated in the northern part of Karnataka. It is well connected by Rail, Road and soon by Air also. Gulbarga is near to Hyderabad and is around 225 km from it and is about 570 km from Mumbai on Mumbai - Chennai Main Line. It is also connected to the Capital City Delhi on Bangalore Delhi line. The Climatic conditions are similar to that of Delhi. Very soon an airport would be set up and there will be regular flights to all the major cities of the country. The nearest air-route at present is up to Hyderabad.

The College is located very near to the Railway Station and is at a walk able distance. The College is situated in an isolated place providing congenial and conducive atmosphere for studies. The Hostel accommodation is nearby, just across the college. The city provides for all the needs, necessities and amenities of a comfortable life. Gulbarga city is a divisional headquarters and is an educational center having college of all disciplines. The Gulbarga University is located in Gulbarga and is about six km from the heart of the city.

Gulbarga city was the capital of Bahmani Empire and the nearby place called Malkhed was the capital of Rashtrakutas. The city has many religious centers belonging to both Hindu and Muslim Communities. The neighboring Bidar district is famous for its Gurudwar. Yet another neighboring place called Basavakalyan was the abode for the Vachana Sahitya of 12th century and was a central place for the spread of Veershaiva Philosophy.
